I had the opportunity to capture some beautiful moments between mom's and their children. The day was filled with giggles, blowing bubbles, reading stories, tickles and gorgeous smiles!!
This little princess was so adorable!! I absolutely LOVED her session. She even gave me some smiles :)
This past weekend I had the opportunity to shoot a gorgeous mama-to-be. Her and her man were more than willing to brave the cold Canadian temperatures to get these beautiful shots!! The session took place by the Westminster Ponds in London, ON.
Missy Paese Photography will be holding Easter Mini Sessions this year with a LIVE BUNNY! His name is Opie and he is super cute, fluffy and sure to make your children squeal with excitement!! Sessions will be held March 5th and 12th. You get a 30 minute session with up to 10 high resolution images (not to mention the opportunity to spend time with Opie!)
Find me on facebook and send me a message to book a time!! http://www.facebook.com/MissyPaesePhotography I haven't updated in awhile, so I figured now was as good a time as any. When you're a mom to two young children things get pretty hectic and it's easy to become scatterbrained so to speak. At least I do. I'm not sure I've ever mentioned this here or not, but I also do home daycare out of my home from Monday to Friday. Photography is something I do on the weekends and on the side as a hobby. I am hoping that one day I can open up my own photography studio.
Anyways. Mornings around here are complete CHAOS! I'm sure some of you can relate. If not, I envy you!! *LOL* I have parents coming to drop off their children every so often, I'm trying to get my oldest daughter ready for school, breakfast for both of my children, help my youngest get dressed and try to manage to make myself look presentable. Sometimes while I'm at the door talking to some of the parents my own children are nagging me in the background for things they need, or stuff they need my help with. I feel like I'm being pulled in a million different directions. Once my own children are taken care of and off to school, I find myself breathing a sigh of relief. My daycare children are FANTASTIC! They listen to me all the time - with the rare occurrence of a time out. It's great!! The time I feel the MOST alive and calm is when I have my camera in my hand. I take tons of pictures of the kids during the day while they are exploring and playing. I absolutely LOVE capturing children on camera. The parents love getting photos of their children at daycare as well, that way they can see what their child has been up to during the day. On a final note, I would love to share a few images I did recently of a sweet little girl just 7 days old at the time of the session. She fought sleep the whole session, but I still captured the innocence and sweetness of her beautiful little face. There's only 11 days until Christmas and the countdown is on! Have you finished all your holiday shopping yet? I only have a couple more things to buy and then I'm done. Getting everything all wrapped up is the hard part. Do you have any special family traditions that you do with your family during the holidays?
Every year on Christmas Eve my girls get a 'Christmas Eve Surprise Box' that contains a new pair of pajamas, a special snack, a movie and hot chocolate. We watch the movie as a family and then read 'Twas the Night Before Christmas before putting them to bed. Some of our other fun traditions include visiting Victoria Park downtown to see the lights and get pictures with Santa, baking holiday cookies & treats, lots of fun crafts, writing letters to Santa, and visiting family. My husband has started a little tradition of making gnocchi with pasta sauce every year as well. His grandfather used to make that dish and since he passed no one makes it anymore, so my husband learned how and perfected his own little recipe for us to enjoy at a special candlelit family dinner. I'd love to hear some of your traditions so that maybe I can include some new ones! Here's a few pictures I've taken during my Holiday Mini Sessions this season. My 2015 Fall Mini's have finally come to a close and all my wonderful clients have received their online galleries for viewing. I must say that I am pretty proud of how they turned out and have noticed a big improvement in my photography from just a few months back! I did have some pretty amazing families to work with too, so I'm sure that's the reason *wink*. I am now getting geared up to start my Holiday Mini Sessions. It's crazy how fast 2015 has flown by. Do you and your family have any special holiday traditions you do every year?
I'll tell you a little bit about our family traditions. We take our girls to have their picture taken with Santa. We head downtown to watch the night time Santa Claus Parade. We stroll through Victoria Park for the Lighting of the Lights. We bake Christmas sugar cookies and the girls help me ice and decorate them. Sometimes we make gingerbread men and other times we have decorated a ginger bread house. Every year on Christmas Eve we give our daughter's a special Christmas Eve Box. Inside it is a pair of new pajamas for each of them, a movie to watch that night, popcorn and hot chocolate to snack on during the movie. When the movie is finished, we read The Night Before Christmas, put out some milk and cookies for Santa and then put the girls to bed. Christmas Day is spent with extended family for a big family dinner and then Boxing Day is spent relaxing and watching our girls enjoy their gifts. I'd love to hear some of your traditions!! Tell me about them, maybe I can pick up a few more fun things for my family :) Have you ever felt like you just don't have enough time in the day to get everything you would like to accomplish done? If you have young children like I do, I'm sure you can relate. Being a mom isn't easy and kids don't come with an instruction manual, so how do all you moms out there manage to keep a routine and manage stability in your daily life? I feel like I still struggle to find this happy balance. I run 2 home businesses on top of trying to make sure my children's needs are taken care of. Some days I feel like I'm going crazy and should check into the nearest loony bin, haha! My home seems to be in constant chaos. How do you find the calm in the storm? I'd love to hear some of your tips!!
