Have you ever felt like you just don't have enough time in the day to get everything you would like to accomplish done? If you have young children like I do, I'm sure you can relate. Being a mom isn't easy and kids don't come with an instruction manual, so how do all you moms out there manage to keep a routine and manage stability in your daily life? I feel like I still struggle to find this happy balance. I run 2 home businesses on top of trying to make sure my children's needs are taken care of. Some days I feel like I'm going crazy and should check into the nearest loony bin, haha! My home seems to be in constant chaos. How do you find the calm in the storm? I'd love to hear some of your tips!!
Last weekend was a beautiful long Thanksgiving weekend with warmer temperatures and lots of time spent outdoors. On Saturday, my husband and I took our girls to Kusterman's Farm and spent the day enjoying the many attractions. On Sunday, we celebrated Thanksgiving and my sister had our big family get together at her place. Then on Monday, I decided to grab my camera and go off to Springbank Park for some alone time and I managed to snap some pretty awesome pictures and find a few good shooting locations for my Fall Mini Sessions. Anyways, here's a few shots from the weekend for you to enjoy :)
October has arrived and it's the time of year where families want to get updated family photos done with beautiful fall colours as their backdrop. Sometimes the leaves just don't cooperate with the timing of your sessions and don't start to change colour until late October or early November. You can still give families the beautiful colours they seek by "faking" it in photoshop. There is a great tutorial by Missy Mao Photography that shows you how to achieve just that! I'm still fairly new to photoshop and I must say that when I applied these techniques to some of my images I was awed by how gorgeous they turned out. Be sure to give them a try!!
How to Fake Fall in Photoshop - Tutorial created by Missy Mayo Photography Since my oldest daughter had a PD Day today and I only had one daycare child to watch, I figured why not do something a bit different and fun! I decided to take them for a little nature walk on one of the trails in the area. They were completely mesmerized. We collected some colourful fall leaves, saw some apple trees growing along the path, stepped through lots of fallen acorns, and our last stop was at the floating dock by the pond.
